The Kaskada ministry has created a chain of mentoring relationships among Roma youth for the purpose of establishing sustainable vocations within Roma communities.
This happens first by identifying young people to be mentored within the vocational guilds program and then by establishing guilds in the areas of:
- Creative Writing
- Video Production and Editing
- Fine Arts (painting and drawing)
- Computer Programming
- Advanced Embroidery
The end goal is for these Roma youth to be financially self-supported and have become leaders in their communities. This should then lead to expanding these vocational guilds within other Roma communities and to providing training with accountability and networking resources.
